Managing Your Plan Harmony Account
Last updated April 23, 2026
Opening Your Account Settings
Click your avatar in the top-right of the app and choose Settings (or go to app.planharmony.com/settings directly). The page is organized into three cards:
- Profile Information — name, avatar, email
- Subscription — upgrade CTA (if not subscribed) or Manage Subscription (if subscribed)
- Danger Zone — delete account
Profile Information
Name
The name shown to other trip members. Minimum 4 characters. Edit the field and click Save Profile to commit.
Avatar
Click the circle to open the upload area. Drop a file or pick from your device.
- Size: up to 2 MB
- Formats: JPG, PNG, GIF
- Shape: Plan Harmony crops to a circle — center your face in the image
If you don't upload an avatar, Plan Harmony generates one from your initials on a color that's stable per user.
Displayed for reference, read-only. Your email is tied to the sign-in method and can't be changed within the app. If you need to change it, contact hello@planharmony.com.
Subscription
If you're on the free plan
You'll see a Subscribe to Pro card inviting you to unlock Pro features across all trips. See the Subscribing to Plan Harmony Pro article for pricing and details.
If you're subscribed
A green Premium Subscription card shows "You have access to all premium features" with a Manage Subscription button. Clicking it redirects to Stripe's customer portal where you can:
- Download invoices
- Update payment method
- Change billing frequency
- Cancel the subscription
If you're on an agency/planner plan
Plan Harmony doesn't show the consumer subscription CTA — your agency workspace covers Pro features.
Danger Zone: Deleting Your Account
At the bottom of the Settings page is a red Danger Zone section with a Delete Account button. Clicking opens a confirmation dialog:
This action cannot be undone. Your account and all trips you created will be permanently deleted.
If you confirm:
- Your user account is permanently deleted
- Every trip you own is deleted, including all events, budget items, attached files, and guest access
- Your access to trips owned by other users is revoked
- Your agency memberships are terminated
- You are signed out and redirected to the login page
Trips you were a guest on (but didn't own) are not affected — other people still see them.
This is irreversible. Plan Harmony cannot recover deleted data.
Before You Delete
Things to consider:
- Download important files. Travel documents you've uploaded are deleted with the account. Save what you need before deletion.
- Export trip details. On Pro trips, use PDF export to keep a permanent copy of the itinerary.
- Cancel the subscription first. Canceling via Stripe stops future charges. Deleting your Plan Harmony account after that leaves no billing loose ends.
- Warn your trip guests. Trips you own are deleted — guests will lose access. Give them a heads-up.
Keeping Your Account Healthy
A few tips for day-to-day account hygiene:
- Keep your name and avatar current — they show on every trip and every event you're in. Good visuals help guests recognize you.
- Review your subscription annually — if you're on yearly billing, a calendar reminder 30 days before renewal lets you reconsider.
- Use a strong password — authentication goes through AWS Cognito, which supports strong passwords and optional MFA setups. Configure MFA from the Cognito hosted UI if available.
- Use the right email. Since email can't be changed, pick the address you'll have long-term (not a work email you may lose access to).
